Azilal rugs come from the High Atlas region of Morocco and are made by hand exclusively by women. Bold colors, tribal and abstract motifs, are the signature of the Azilal. Each symbol has a meaning, representing archaic myths and storytelling. This newly made Azilal was hand woven with sheep wool and dyed with natural pigments. Photos show front and back.
